Nigeria2019: President Declared Winner of Polls

The 2019 General election has finally climaxed with its drama and suspense. A total of 72 political participated in the Presidential election but it was apparently a two horse-cart race keenly contested between the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and the main opposition candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. It has come with it setbacks and complains from several quarters with challenges such as malfunctioning of the Smart Card Reader (SCR), electoral violence, Ballot box snatching, rigging and vote---buying etc.

After over three of result collating results, the INEC Chairman and Chief Returning Officer, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu finally declared President Muhammadu Buhari as the authentic winner after securing the highest number of votes as well as earning 25% votes from at least two---third states and the FCT. The statistics and collated results of the election are as follows:
